What Is Liquid Rhinoplasty?

Liquid rhinoplasty, also called a nonsurgical rhinoplasty, is a minimally-invasive injectable treatment procedure that uses injections of HA fillers like JUVEDERM Ultra Plus XC and Restylane Lyft, dense fillers designed to restore lost volume, to reshape the bridge, tip, and base of the nose to straighten the bridge, add volume where it is missing, and to add overall balance to the nose without surgery.

While the results of a liquid rhinoplasty procedure are not as dramatic as surgical rhinoplasty, the subtle balance and shape enhancements possible with this procedure can change the appearance of your entire face. By helping to balance the nose, your entire face is enhanced, drawing attention to your eyes and lips as well as your nose.

What Can Liquid Rhinoplasty Treat?

A liquid rhinoplasty is most suitable for men and women who want to make subtle adjustments to the shape of their noses. It can be used to

What Is a Liquid Rhinoplasty Procedure Like?

Liquid rhinoplasty usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes to complete. The HA dermal fillers we use at CaloSpa for nonsurgical rhinoplasty procedures are pre-mixed with local anesthetic to ensure your comfort throughout the treatment.

During the treatment, your provider will use a cannula to inject the filler into the areas of the nose that require reshaping. She will touch your face and nose with her hands to ensure the HA filler is smooth and the tissue is shaped to address your aesthetic needs. You will have the opportunity to view the results as they appear.

Are There Any Side Effects of Liquid Rhinoplasty?

After liquid rhinoplasty, you may experience some swelling and bruising for a few days. These side effects usually fade after 1 to 2 days. As the swelling dissipates, you will start to see your final results.

There is no downtime associated with liquid rhinoplasty, so you are able to return to your daily activities immediately. Your provider may recommend avoiding any strenuous exercise for the first 24 hours following the treatment, but there are no other activity restrictions required.

How Long Does Liquid Rhinoplasty Last?

The results of liquid rhinoplasty last as long as the HA filler itself. HA fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body. Over time, your body metabolizes the HA filler, causing the filler to slowly fade.

For most patients, results from liquid rhinoplasty last 6 to 12 months.
