Glass Skin Facial

If you have ever heard the term “glass skin,” it refers to radiant, even-textured skin that is as smooth as glass. The easiest way to get glass-like skin is with “microtox,” a non-surgical and multi-faceted facial treatment that can improve several skin concerns. Microtox uses fine needles similar to the ones used in microneedling to infuse the skin with microdroplets of diluted BOTOX®, Dysport®,XEOMIN®, or Jeuveau ™.

If you are looking for a quick, rejuvenating skin treatment, we offer Glass Skin facials at our Louisville, Lexington, and Floyds Knobs med spa locations.

How Is Microtox Different From Other Skin Rejuvenation Treatments?

Microtox treats the entire surface of the skin, which gives your skin that dewy, smooth texture. We tailor your Microtox treatment to your specific skin concerns, such as fine lines, dull texture, redness, and more. We further enhance your skin’s radiance by combining Microtox with other rejuvenating and nourishing serums.

How Does Microtox Work?

Your provider will use a set of fine needles to precisely deliver a solution of dermal fillers, neuromodulators, and vitamin serums underneath the surface of your skin. Your treatment will typically take around half an hour with minimal discomfort and downtime.

You may see an immediate improvement in your skin, but the full results will take a few days to appear. Your Glass Skin facial results will last about 3 to 4 months, after which you can opt for a maintenance treatment.

What Is Glass Skin Facial Recovery Like?

You may have some minor swelling and redness after the procedure, but there is no downtime needed for Microtox. You can resume your daily routine immediately after your Glass Skin facial.

What Is the Difference Between Microtox and BOTOX?

If you want to smooth out dynamic wrinkles in addition to improving the sheen of your skin, Microtox is usually a better option than BOTOX, Dysport, XEOMIN, or Jeuveau. The ultra-thin needles used during the procedure deliver the diluted neurotoxin directly beneath the skin rather than into the facial muscles. This technique results in soft, natural-looking improvements to the skin.

With Microtox, you will see some results immediately; while with BOTOX and other toxins results can take a few days. If you want to address health concerns such as chronic sweating or migraines along with facial rejuvenation, you will need to stick to BOTOX® treatments.
